End of another school year

Another year is over. All exams are finished and now we wait for the dreaded results. Cambridge results will be out mid June and Michigan, sometime in July. Results for all other year levels will be available from this Thursday 2nd June till next Wednesday 8th June. Parents can come from 5 - 9pm on those days for the end of year reports. Good luck to those of you still taking school exams.

Ending with Oral Exams

FOUR days to go!!!

Proficiency students, this is your final week of oral lessons so learn all those helpful expressions and vocabulary to really lift your level of spoken English. You should all be speaking only English all of this week even to your parents and grandparents...it doesn't matter if they don't understand you they can still be impressed. And once you're done impressing family you can go on and knock the socks off your examiners. Happy practising!!!

Almost there..........

Ahhhh a week to go. Am I the only one counting down?

Is anybody else counting down the days left or do you all love your English lessons so much that you don't want them to end, because if that's the case I'm sure I can arrange something for you. But it will definitely be without yours truly. I'm sure you can handle things on your own....yes??

Michigan Exams

Last weekend was Michigan weekend with ECCE on Saturday and ECPE on Sunday.

For a lot of you the year is already over. A few of you still have ECPE Orals to look forward to. There's just one week to go so hang in there it's nearly over. Just make sure you don't miss any of your oral practice lessons as this is your last opportunity to practise what you've learnt and dazzle the examiners with your oral skills.

Also don't forget to tell us your impressions of the Michigan exams. Most of you felt very positive about them when you came out but some of you weren't so sure. Now that you've had some time to think about it, what do you think???

Feedback on Cambridge Exams

Cambridge FCE and Proficiency written exams are over and the feedback was mixed. We still have FCE orals ahead and the PET exams. This weekend coming is Michigan weekend. ECCE is on Saturday and ECPE is on Sunday. Make the most of your final week to revise and of course ask any questions that you might have. This is the week to clarify any remaining queries.

HAU Workshop / Mock Oral

The Hellenic American Union Oral Exam Workshop took place today and I really believe it gave everyone present invaluable help. A great big thank you to Miss Kasimi for her helpful tips and specialist knowledge on how to get through these exams painlessly and successfully. I feel confident that everyone has a much better idea of what is expected and knows exactly what to do in every part of the oral exam.

I think the teachers deserve awards for their performances as students and examiners in the role plays.

All in all a productive and informative morning. More practice will of course be provided over the next few weeks. Remember to revise what you have been given and most importantly apply it.
