Ahhhh a week to go. Am I the only one counting down?

Is anybody else counting down the days left or do you all love your English lessons so much that you don't want them to end, because if that's the case I'm sure I can arrange something for you. But it will definitely be without yours truly. I'm sure you can handle things on your own....yes??

Michigan Exams

Last weekend was Michigan weekend with ECCE on Saturday and ECPE on Sunday.

For a lot of you the year is already over. A few of you still have ECPE Orals to look forward to. There's just one week to go so hang in there it's nearly over. Just make sure you don't miss any of your oral practice lessons as this is your last opportunity to practise what you've learnt and dazzle the examiners with your oral skills.

Also don't forget to tell us your impressions of the Michigan exams. Most of you felt very positive about them when you came out but some of you weren't so sure. Now that you've had some time to think about it, what do you think???

Feedback on Cambridge Exams

Cambridge FCE and Proficiency written exams are over and the feedback was mixed. We still have FCE orals ahead and the PET exams. This weekend coming is Michigan weekend. ECCE is on Saturday and ECPE is on Sunday. Make the most of your final week to revise and of course ask any questions that you might have. This is the week to clarify any remaining queries.

HAU Workshop / Mock Oral

The Hellenic American Union Oral Exam Workshop took place today and I really believe it gave everyone present invaluable help. A great big thank you to Miss Kasimi for her helpful tips and specialist knowledge on how to get through these exams painlessly and successfully. I feel confident that everyone has a much better idea of what is expected and knows exactly what to do in every part of the oral exam.

I think the teachers deserve awards for their performances as students and examiners in the role plays.

All in all a productive and informative morning. More practice will of course be provided over the next few weeks. Remember to revise what you have been given and most importantly apply it.

We would really appreciate feedback on this workshop so please let us know what you thought of this event.

Extra Exam Practice classes

A definitive programme is now available for the Hellenic American Union seminars.

ECCE students (Lower) Thursday 28th April 11:00 - 1:00pm and ECPE students(Proficiency) from 1:00 - 3:00pm.

On the following day, Friday 29th April, both levels will have extra exam practice starting at 11:00 am.

We will see you all there! Until then enjoy your Easter.

Easter Break

Easter is here and another break is almost upon us. Yes we all deserve a reprieve from all the hard work. So a happy and very restful Easter to all.

But...certificate students...no reprieve for you. As well as all the revising that you are going to do at home we have also scheduled some lessons for the next two weeks. The first is on Monday the 18th at 11 am. We will schedule the others on Monday so see you there.

P.S Leave sulky faces and complaints at home please.

25th March Celebrations

All of us at the MLC would like to wish all our students and their parents a happy 25th March celebration holiday. Spring is definitely in the air and it is going to be a beautiful day so enjoy your long weekend! We will all be back on Monday as usual so don't forget to do any homework.
A reminder to all FCE and Prof students that your FINAL Mock Exam will be the following weekend on the 2nd April.
